2 part H sections are a strong board jointing system for fixing, joining and finishing wallboards, cladding panels, display boards and sheet materials. Each joint uses a rigid PVC base section and a matching barbed top section: the base is fixed to the wall, frame or backing surface, the boards are positioned against it, and the top trim is pushed into place to cover the joint, screw heads and exposed board edges.

About Our 2 Part H Sections

Tubeway stocks 2 part plastic H section bases for a wide range of board thicknesses, including 2-5mm, 6-12mm, 12-16mm, 17-20mm and 23-26mm boards. Small, medium, large and extra large domed top sections allow the system to suit different board widths and cover requirements, creating a secure, tidy and long-lasting joint for commercial fit outs, healthcare interiors, shopfitting, exhibitions, cladding and signage work.

These PVC 2 part H section jointing strips are useful where a standard one-piece H section is not practical, especially when panels need to be fixed against a solid surface. The barbed top gives a firm push-fit hold, helps hide fixings and produces a clean professional finish. Made from UV stable PVC, selected 2 part H profiles are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications where boards need to be joined, protected and held securely in place.

For 2-5mm boards use Small or Medium Top & Small Base
6-7mm boards use Small or Medium Top & Medium Base
8-12mm boards use Large or XLarge Top & Medium Base
12-16mm boards use Large or XLarge Top & Large Base
17-20mm boards use Large or XLarge Top & XLarge Base
23-26mm boards use Large or XLarge Top & XXXLarge Base

The XLarge Flat Top can be used for any base 8mm and upwards, however, we would recommend calling the office regarding base combinations before placing an order.

Do you offer discounts on large orders?

For most products, yes. These are detailed on each product page, and are accumulated in the basket.

We also offer volume pricing that starts at either 500 or 1000m+ MOQ, depending on profile size. We're happy to pass on the economies of scale we gain through extended manufacturing; taking up this options not only offers a price saving but also allows you to customise your order, specifying things such as varying cut lengths.

What delivery service do you use?

Unfortunately due to the length of our goods we're unable to make use of many of the small parcel couriers such as Evri, DPD and Yodel. As such, we use a commercial carrier, DX.

Whilst we do have tiered delivery pricing determined by postcodes where we're charged surcharges, our flat rate delivery charges represent additional discount for larger orders as our costs increase with the weight of the consignment.

Can the delivery driver phone ahead so I can make sure I'm there for my delivery?

Our carriers are unable to offer this service. However, if you have a safe place your goods can be left, you can inform us when you order and not necessarily have to wait in.

Will my delivery arrive at the weekend?

Unless you specify a Saturday delivery at checkout the standard service is working days, Monday to Friday, excluding Bank Holidays.

For example if we despatch on Friday on a Next Day Service, your items are due for delivery the following Monday.

Can we collect our order as we live locally?

Yes, this can be arranged at a mutually convenient time, even though we do not have a trade counter as such. However, because of the way this website is set up, you will need to pay for delivery when you order, and this element of your payment (+ Vat) will be refunded to your payment card on collection of your items.

Can I buy single lengths?

Unfortunately not, as the manufacturer we only deal in whole packs as we just don't have the physical space to store lengths without damaging them.

If you do need single lengths, please contact the office as we have a number of Resellers that should be able to fulfil your needs.

Can your Plastic trims be used outdoors?

All of our plastic trims, except Clear and Silver have UV stabilisers included within the PVC Compound allowing them to be used externally.

The main purpose of the UV stabilisers is to minimise colour fade and also maintain impact strength, preventing the profile becoming brittle. It's worth noting that darker colours absorb heat from the sun at a faster rate than lighter colours so over time they will experience a slight fading.

Please also be aware that in particularly hot conditions profiles may distort in shape when used externally. Based on our existing grade of PVC, UV Stabilisers will not prevent this happening and this problem is again exacerbated on the darker profiles such as Black and Anthracite Grey.
